SVG is blank after importing: first check the artboard, color and external links
Blank spaces do not necessarily indicate a corrupt file. First check whether the object is outside the drawing board, whether the white graphics fall on the white background, and whether external resources are missing, and then determine whether the target software supports the file content.
Determine the problem and applicable conditions first
A mismatch between the viewBox and the object's position, a hidden layer, a mask, or an unsupported filter can all make the subject invisible. The browser can display normally but the target software is blank, indicating that compatibility and import options should be compared first.
Process and check in order
- Open the original file in the browser and confirm whether the main body can be seen.
- Select all in the target software and zoom to the selection, switching to a dark background.
- Check the external link image, crop and hidden objects, save a copy and try again.
Check the finished result
Do not delete all defs, clipPath or masks directly, they may control the main display. If only some effects are incompatible, keep the editable source and provide a reference PNG, and the recipient will confirm an alternative delivery method.
