Can SVG, AI and EPS replace each other? Delivery format check
They are both common formats in the design process, but the expressible objects, software features, and receiving environments are different. This site outputs SVG. You cannot rename it to AI or EPS and claim to have completed the format conversion.
Determine the problem and applicable conditions first
Importing and saving may change fonts, transparency, filters or cropping. When the recipient says it needs a vector file, it should continue to ask about the format version, whether it is converted, the color and the actual size to avoid exchanging only a suffix that does not meet production requirements.
Process and check in order
- Obtain clear format and version requirements from the recipient.
- Open the SVG in software that supports the format, inspect the object, and save as a new file.
- Reopen the saved file and check it item by item with the original.
Check the finished result
Keep original SVG and design software source drafts and do not overwrite unique files. If you use a software-specific effect, make sure it is retained or rasterized in the target format; just because a file can be opened does not mean it is fully compatible.
