Heat transfer pattern delivery: How to confirm size, transparency and background color
Make it clear whether the recipient requires SVG or high-resolution bitmap, and then check for transparent backgrounds, edges, and minimal details at actual printed size. There are different processes for thermal transfer printing, and the same general document cannot be regarded as directly used by all equipment.
Determine the problem and applicable conditions first
The effect of translucent shadows, light glossy edges and white trim on different substrates may vary. Whether to mirror, whether a white background is required, and who will complete the typesetting should be confirmed according to the producer's workflow, and do not repeat mirroring on your own.
Process and check in order
- Record the final width and height, substrate color and front and back directions.
- Check edges, white areas, and clear holes on the target background.
- Deliver the agreed format with a preview, and require the producer to check the proofing.
Check the finished result
The preview is only used to illustrate the appearance and does not replace the production file. Save the unmirrored master and the final delivery copy, and clarify the file name and processing status to avoid the production end getting the wrong version.
SVG format basis and reference materials
SVG can contain both vector shapes, images, and text. Therefore, a file name ending in .svg does not alone prove that the original image has been converted to an editable path.W3C SVG 2 Specification: SVG Graphics Objectdescribes these object types.
