The upload prompt format is not supported: How to check the true format of the image

Written and maintained by:Sweet Tomato E-commerce Technology Co., Ltd. Updated

This site accepts PNG, JPEG and WebP images. Directly changing the suffix of a HEIC, GIF, PDF or SVG file will not turn it into a supported image. You should actually export a static PNG or JPEG in a software that can open it.

Determine the problem and applicable conditions first

The file name and the actual encoding may be inconsistent, and the format may be changed when forwarded by chat software or exported from mobile phone albums. If the system hides the extension, you should check the file information first; just because the browser can display a picture does not mean that the upload processor supports its encoding.

Process and check in order

  1. Check the type in the file properties and confirm that the local software can open it normally.
  2. Export static PNG, JPEG or WebP from original software, not just rename.
  3. Check the exported transparent background and subject integrity before uploading the new file.

Check the finished result

Reopen the exported image and check whether it has become completely black, lost transparency, or only a thumbnail remains. Dynamic patterns need to clearly select which frame; this site does not promise to automatically generate vector animation by uploading multi-frame files.

SVG format basis and reference materials

SVG can contain both vector shapes, images, and text. Therefore, a file name ending in .svg does not alone prove that the original image has been converted to an editable path.W3C SVG 2 Specification: SVG Graphics Objectdescribes these object types.

The above information is used to describe the file format. The upload restrictions, membership requirements, results saving and editing capabilities of this site are subject to the page description and actual functions.
