What should I do if the social platform does not accept SVG? Keep the master and then export

Written and maintained by:Sweet Tomato E-commerce Technology Co., Ltd. Updated

First check the upload format requirements of the target platform. If you do not accept SVG, export the PNG or JPEG supported by the platform from the vector master, check it according to the actual size, and do not simply change the suffix and upload it.

Determine the problem and applicable conditions first

Avatars, covers and product details have different cropping ratios and pixel requirements, and the same square image does not fit in all locations. The platform may be compressed again, and the transparent channel may be replaced by the background color. Please see the actual preview before publishing.

Process and check in order

  1. Confirm the aspect ratio, size and format constraints of the target location.
  2. Export a bitmap with enough pixels to preserve the original SVG.
  3. Check circular cropping, edges and small text in upload preview.

Check the finished result

Do not regard the downloaded image compressed by the platform as a new design master. When changing copywriting or size, return to the original vector draft and re-export it, which can reduce the cumulative loss caused by repeated transfers.

SVG format basis and reference materials

SVG can contain both vector shapes, images, and text. Therefore, a file name ending in .svg does not alone prove that the original image has been converted to an editable path.W3C SVG 2 Specification: SVG Graphics Objectdescribes these object types.

The above information is used to describe the file format. The upload restrictions, membership requirements, results saving and editing capabilities of this site are subject to the page description and actual functions.
