SVG Why does the hollow become solid? Compound paths and fill rules
Hollows such as letter holes and ring patterns depend on path structure and filling rules. When making it solid after importing, first check the compound path and fill-rule. Do not simply cover the inner hole with a white block instead of being truly transparent.
Determine the problem and applicable conditions first
nonzero and evenodd have different judgments on the internal areas of overlapping contours. The importing software may disassemble the compound path or change the combination method; the holes originally formed by the outline direction may also be filled after processing.

- Confirm whether the inner hole is truly transparent or covered with white on the dark and light base.
- Check fill rules for compound paths and subpath combinations.
- Adjust the copy in the target software and review all closed bores after exporting.
Check the finished result
Do not switch the full file rule for one letter and then deliver it directly, other overlapping graphics may also change. When making a hollow cutting draft, you also need to confirm the bridging structure. Visual transparency does not mean that the actual materials can be connected into one.
