What is the difference between SVG fill and stroke? View object before deleting

Written and maintained by:Sweet Tomato E-commerce Technology Co., Ltd. Updated

The fill determines how the inside of the shape is colored, and the stroke is drawn along the outline. The same visual effect may consist of a filled path or a stroked line, and removing a stroke only affects the actual stroke, not all shapes that look like lines.

Determine the problem and applicable conditions first

A thick black line might be a black elongated closed shape, which the color list treats as a fill. Conversely, an unfilled circle may be visible only by its stroke. Determining the structure first will help avoid deleting the main body or clearing out all line drawings.

Process and check in order

  1. Check the object's fill, stroke, and lineweight in the copy.
  2. Do a test on a single object first, and then decide whether to remove them in batches.
  3. After operation check the inner holes, outer contours and details shown by stroke alone.

Check the finished result

When making the required contour conversion path, you need to use software with corresponding functions and review it. On this site, erasing and retaining strokes and removing all strokes are different operations and cannot replace all path Boolean operations.

SVG format basis and reference materials

SVG can contain both vector shapes, images, and text. Therefore, a file name ending in .svg does not alone prove that the original image has been converted to an editable path.W3C SVG 2 Specification: SVG Graphics Objectdescribes these object types.

The above information is used to describe the file format. The upload restrictions, membership requirements, results saving and editing capabilities of this site are subject to the page description and actual functions.
