Migrating from beta package to Chrome Store version: What to back up first
Internal test extensions and store extensions may use different extension IDs, and local storage will not be automatically migrated. Download important SVGs, export edits, and save necessary originals before installing and testing the store version.
Determine the problem and applicable conditions first
The same official website account can be used to log in, but account sharing and local gallery sharing are not the same thing. Directly deleting the beta version will clear the local records of the extension; works that have only one copy and have not been exported should be backed up separately first.
Process and check in order
- Download important conversion results item by item in the beta version and export unsaved edits.
- Enter the store from the official website introduction page to install the official version, and log in to the original account.
- Test collection and open the sidebar; confirm the backup before deciding whether to remove the beta version.
Check the finished result
Do not submit the same image for conversion in both versions at the same time. The official website and extension still share the account concurrency limit. After successful installation, you should check the icon and extension version separately to avoid mistaking the old sidebar for the new version.
SVG format basis and reference materials
SVG can contain both vector shapes, images, and text. Therefore, a file name ending in .svg does not alone prove that the original image has been converted to an editable path.W3C SVG 2 Specification: SVG Graphics Objectdescribes these object types.
